1° day Friday

Arrival in Lucca in late morning. Meeting with a private guide and walking visit to places linked to Napoleone’s life, inside the old town center of Lucca, (3 hours), starting from Palazzo Ducale, Piazza Napoleone, Via e Porta Elisa, Palazzo Froussard, Palazzo Matteucci.

Free lunch.

Late afternoon free transfer to the Hotel in Bagni di Lucca.

Three star Hotel, located on the bank of Lima river, which romantically flows downwards, in front of the neoclassic Casino.

Dinner at the Hotel’s Restaurant.

Menu with local dishes and products from the Garfagnana tradition.

Overnight stay.

2° day Saturday

Breakfast in Hotel.

Morning: Bagni di Lucca Bath tour and visit of the exterior part of the Termae establishment of that period, attended by a Bath Staff: Bagni caldi, Docce Basse, S. Giovanni, Bagno Bernabò.

Afterwards promenade with a guide through the tiny streets of Bagno alla Villa, exclusive visit to the entrance of Palazzo Mansi, and Palazzi e Scuderie, lastly, tour to Ospedale, Cappella, Villa e Ponte Demidoff.

Free Lunch.

Afternoon – Optional ( additional charge € 60):

Termal steam bath session in Paolina Bonaparte natural Cave, with warm towel.

Relaxing total body massage (30’) with aromatic oils.

As an alternative: free visit of the “Borgo a Mozzano” medioeval village ( 4 km from Lucca) and to the famous Ponte della Maddalena, better known as Devil Bridge (no guide).

Dinner in Hotel, overnight stay.

3° day Sunday

Breakfast in Hotel.

Departure from Bagni di Lucca.

Arrival in Marlia and visit of the gardens of Villa Reale, (admission fee € 10, booking required). The Villa Reale of Marlia is one of the most well known villas of the area, it was named “Marly” as the one located in Paris at Luis XIV period.

At the end of the visit, tasting “on a cuttingboard” of Garfagnana tipical products with wine of the Lucca’s hills.
